After several years of helping OnePlus gain relative popularity and success, Pei unexpectedly announced that he had left the business. No one knows the exact reason why he made this decision as, sadly, Pei does not offer a clear answer.

I’ve made the tough decision to say goodbye after almost seven years at OnePlus. I grew up spending vast amounts of time creating products and communities on the internet. It gave me a lot of joy to see the ideas in one’s mind could be transformed into reality and affect the lives of people, and I knew early on the this was the direction for me,’ said Carl Pei.
Well, different reports suggest that the OnePlus founders, Carl Pei and Pete Lau, were not getting along very well. The leadership of Pei at OnePlus was appreciable and won’t be so easily forgotten. But, at the same time, we’re all anxiously waiting to see what’s going to be interesting for him. “In the quote, he says that” I have never regretted trusting my gut feeling, and it’s no different this time.
OnePlus has been my singular goal in recent years, and everything else has had to take a backseat. I’m looking forward to taking some time off with my family and friends to decompress and catch up. And then pursue my heart on to the next thing.
